So I am not ashamed to admit that I watch cartoons. Besides using those moments to occasionally laugh with my kids, I can watch one to wind down. One thing I have learnt is that for years now, the producers of animation are now creating content with the adult in mind.
Today I zero in on Scrat. “He is an acorn-obsessed sabre-toothed squirrel that lived during the ice ages, attempting to store his prized acorn. As of 2013, he became the mascot of Blue Sky Studios, a subsidiary of 20th Century Fox (Now owned by Disney).” A key character in The Ice Age Animation.
His obsession with the acorn meant that even when he had the prized acorn he would try to store it away and end up losing it.
EXAMPLE: What have you done with the entrepreneurial training, the course you paid for, the talent or skill you have before you start wishing and striving to get more?
Some of us have postponed happiness to a later date yet, just by checking what you have you will be grateful and better positioned to start with what you have. It’s easy to think you need more when you do not intentionally check what you have.
It’s hard to start with what you have if you do not know what it is. It may mean taking the time to actually list what you have. Don’t wait until you lose something before you appreciate and maximise the opportunity. #MaximiseNow #StartWithWhatYouHave. Don’t worry about what you don’t have.
